How to Wear a Pink Dress

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pink dress
  • Nude shoes
  1. Step 1
Find a pink dress that you can dress up or down to make
it work in a variety of situations. Look for a matte jersey,
lycra blend or cotton fabric that will be easy to wear
    and comfortable.
  2. Step 2
Consider solid dresses, stripes and floral prints. These
options can take pink in a variety of directions so you can
find the look that best suits your taste and your lifestyle.
  3. Step 3
Work pink to its best advantage. Look for a shade that makes
your skin and hair color glow. Pinks with salmon undertones
can be soft and flattering. Ballet pinks with a hint of gold
work well for blonde and fair skinned women. Hot pinks and
fuschias can pop against darker hair and skin tones.
  4. Step 4
Pair pink with black, navy, brown or gray sweaters, shoes or
other accessories for a sophisticated take on the color. Try a
navy wrap sweater or brown blazer to change the look of a
pink dress and give it a more edge for a corporate setting.
  5. Step 5
Wear a pearl necklace and demure nude flats for a classic look
for a date or special occassion. Give pink a European edge by
adding a black cardigan and black shoes.
  6. Step 6
Treat soft shades of pink as a neutral to make it work year-round.
You can add a dark gray or brown sweater and gray boots to
make it look appropriate even in the colder months.
