Valentino and Giorgio Armani are accustomed to seeing the world’s highest profile men step out in their beautifully tailored suits. But the pair were showcasing a rather different approach to the wardrobe staple during their collections for spring/summer 2008 Milan Fashion Week.
Giorgio Armani presented men with an east meets west theme as model in relaxed suit walked the runway some wearing bindies.
Armani menswear goes south
Creative Director Christopher Bailey topped slim dark trousers with trenches, macs and jackets — some heavier than others, with details such as double collars or cape-like shapes.
The tradition of luxurious Armani suits reaches to the roots of the company. The philosophy of the brand can be defined by four points: elegance, modernity, casualness and attractiveness. The suits are designed exactly according to these four points. Moreover, they are upgraded by Armani’s ideas. They preserve their traditional form with maximum emphasis on adjusting to the body. This creates comfortable and elegant effect. Both layering and combination of clothing strengthen the originality too.
